CODE OF CONDUCT FOR ARROWMEN

AT ALL CHAPTER, LODGE AND SECTION EVENTS

Each participant at chapter, Lodge and Section meetings and events is expected to follow these guidelines so that everyone can have the most positive and memorable experience possible. The general welfare of any group depends on the conduct of each individual member. This ensures the success of meetings and events and provides the maximum benefit of every participant. As a member of the Order of the Arrow, I will:

1. Observe the Scout Oath, the Scout Law, and the Obligation of the Order of the Arrow.

2. Wear the official BSA uniform for the program I am in at all meetings and events, whether the field uniform, consisting of shirt, shorts or slacks, belt and socks, or activity uniform, consisting of a Scouting-theme t-shirt in place of the field uniform shirt. The field uniform shirt shall properly display only patches, pens and other items that are approved in the BSA Official Guide to Insignia.

3. Attend all planned, general and special sessions and events.

4. Be personally responsible for breakage, damage, or loss of property.

5. Observe quiet hours and lights out in campsites from 11:30 pm to 6:30 am.

7. Keep your quarters and surrounding areas clean and dispose of trash properly.

8. Understand that purchase, possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs by any youth or adult at the Conference will not be permitted and will result in immediate dismissal from the conference.

9. Respect the state and local laws, as well as the Gulf Ridge Council rules regarding the use of fireworks, firearms and gambling. Infraction of these rules will result in immediate dismissal.

10. Follow the Boy Scouts of America and Gulf Ridge Council smoke-free policies.
